SCOTT BEARD

Assessment Supervisor, Security and Training Expert

Scott is a retired Detective Sgt. from Michigan State Police. He began as a Trooper in 1989 at the Erie Post. He worked as a Detective/Sergeant in the Polygraph Unit), a Sergeant in the Uniform Division, and as a Detective/Sergeant of Investigative Services in the Monroe Area Narcotics Team. Scott obtained his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University in 1988 and has been a licensed Forensic Polygraphist since 2000.

Scott wants to share some of the knowledge that he gained in his 31 years with the Michigan State Police. He believes, as he did when he started in Law Enforcement, that each one of us can make a difference in the world every day; Scott believes that he can do that through ATAP and help those we work with do the same. Scott is the father of 2, stepfather of 2, and grandfather of 7! He is Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Monroe, MI.
